No word on if they are going to add another character slot per realm
Everything is not a hunter weapon :( - no stat sticks! - Minimum range is now ZERO!
Achievements
- Some achievements will be given on all toons when you get them on one
- Some achievements will require you to work with more than one toon to get them (ex: profession master)
Companion Pets - Battle On!
- Ok, it has been compared to Poke’mon - but Fi is very excited
- Companion pets will now battle in a turn based system and ‘level up’
- Pets will level up - and can learn new skills
- MOST pets will be account wide - meaning you have it on one, you’ll have it on all, and the pet will keep their levels across toons
- We will be able to name them!!
New Talent system
- Talent ‘trees’ as we know them are gone
- You pick your spec at level 10 and talents start at level 15
- Trainers are losing their jobs- will really only be teaching dual spec. What does this mean for pvp?
- A new talent each 15 levels - 18 different choices over the 90 levels
- You chose from three that are all similar or concern a similar ability i.e. crowd control.
- You do not have take talent C to get talent D and then E - each is a separate choice
- Re-talent on the fly - for a small cost, gold or reagent - similar to glyphs
- It is designed for people to customize, not cookie-cutter and be able to have more fun and actually more choice with fewer talents.
- Oh - and btw - Druids have FOUR specs... well, duh....
New ways to Dungeon and Raid.
- Timed Dungeons - Challenge!
- Medals for time goals
- All gear is normalized to the dungeon (everyone’s gear is equal)
- Leaderboards: Shame (or be shamed by) your friends!
- Make the Mechanics understandable.
- Two old made new dungeons - Scarlet Monestary and Scholomancy
Raids
- Three new Raids for MoP
- New enemies
- Mogu
- Mantid
Looking for Raid (which is in 4.3)
- 25 man only
- not the regular raid gear, but it doesn’t suck either
- with MoP, all raids will be puggable.
Final thoughts on the new expansion and changes:
- Fi - why this all makes sense - more thing for more players, how WoW is aging and the beauty of their marketing. What does it mean for Vanilla WoW lovers?
